In the midst of the old village center with its grown structures – on the property of the old cheese dairy – a new building ensemble is created, which combines the formal language of the traditional farmhouse with the demands of high-quality modern living.
In order to make the most of the site’s advantages, a new type of residential building was developed. This deliberately dispenses with the usual monotonous design of several narrow, identical row houses.
For more space and quality of life, the design relies on fewer, but wider terraced house units, which together with a transverse building block at the top form the residential building: This results in three maisonettes with row house character and a penthouse with one residential unit.
The attributes of a multi-family or row house are combined with the qualities of a modern residential building. These include the advantages of shared energy and functional spaces in favor of large private uses of space.
