Spotify’s brand identity is characterized by bold colors and the motto “What’s Next”, which promotes the shuffle button in the portal. So the booth concept revolved around the idea of shuffling and the idea of moving from one song to the next.
The open space was created to hold meetings of various kinds – at low coffee tables with comfortable armchairs for casual conversations or at tables with 4 chairs for short meetings. The space was complemented by a prominent bar. Three enclosed meeting rooms were designed for formal meetings.
Several installations were created that showcased Spotify’s various interfaces on a range of devices including touchscreens and audio stations. A raised area was built to host a DJ set on the last night of the show.
The basic colors of the corporate identity were used abundantly throughout the vertical stand spaces. Campaign images played an even more central role, printed on semi-transparent fabrics and mounted on six-meter-high metal frames around the edges of the booth, encapsulating the space in a world of its own, with glimpses through large openings into the life inside. The metal frames were connected with floor-to-ceiling shuffle logos. Otherwise, wood, laminate and partial gray carpet were used.
